Mykonos airport: Thursday flight suspensions from 19 November
Runway reconstruction brings weekly winter closures. The dates and holiday exceptions travellers need to check.

The announced dates
Fraport Greece says Mykonos runway operations will stop on Thursdays, from 19 November 2026 to 18 March 2027, between 00:01 and 23:59 local time. The announcement is dated 8 September. These are future restrictions, not a closure today.
The exceptions
The Thursday dates excluded from the suspension are 24 and 31 December 2026 and 7 January 2027. Emergency helicopter flights remain possible when required, while terminal services will remain available.
Before booking
Check the date of each flight, including the return leg, with your airline. A ship or aircraft appearing on a tracking map does not establish that a booked service will operate. The airport’s live departures board and your airline are the relevant checks close to departure.
